Adrienne Lombard, Guest Children's Book Author
Adrienne Lombard, originally from South Central Los Angeles, proudly graduated from the Los Angeles public school system and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. During her time at Cal Poly, she became a member of the distinguished Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
The disruption caused by COVID-19 prompted Ms. Lombard to empathize with elementary school students in her community who were adjusting to remote learning. Reflecting on her own formative education, she was motivated to ensure that all children have access to meaningful educational experiences, regardless of their learning environment. This led to the creation of "Chelsey Chip For President."
What began as a single title has now evolved into a series of children's books. Currently, there are two books designed for students in third through fifth grade, with a third book for younger readers aged zero to five. Chelsey Chip represents the transformative power of education, inspiring a love for learning in every elementary student.
